Setting the tone early in the season is important. Many teams use their non-district schedule to prepare for and build momentum entering their district games and hopefully a deep playoff run.
We spend more time with our athletes in practice than we do with them during the rest of the week. This is the most important time we have with them as we prepare for each opponent. Its important to go into any endeavor with a goal to accomplish. As coaches we have goals for our teams, our athletes, and for ourselves. We are goal oriented people in a goal oriented field. If you haven’t done so, take the time to write down your goals for this season and post them somewhere visible and be accountable for the goals you have set. Good luck this season!
