Football and Thanksgiving are inseparable from each other. Whether you are fortunate enough to be playing or enjoying the games with your family, it is as much a part of the day as eating turkey and pies. I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving with your family and friends this year, and I hope you enjoyed some football as well. I am thankful for each of you who choose to participate and make connections with each other through the chat.

Its playoff season! Whether you are making your first appearance or your 30th appearance, each one is special. Extending the season also means making sure your players are mentally and physically prepared for the grind it takes to become that special group of players that puts it all together. ‪#‎txhsfbchat‬ wishes all coaches, players, and schools good luck in the playoffs and I hope you take time to realize how special this season has been.

You always want to put your best foot forward when you are searching for a job. Be prepared to impress whoever you need from the moment you submit your resume. Coach Chris Fore is an outstanding coach who gives back to his community by helping coaches prepare for the job search process.

Coaches spend much of their time learning X’s and O’s to improve their football knowledge. It is also important to learn the necessary skills to develop athletes with the tools they need to be leaders and people of character as they move on from our watch. Coach Roberts has founded the University of Texas Center for Sports Leadership Institution to help coaches, athletes, and students learn about and obtain these necessary tools. Please remember that its not about the X’s and the O’s, it is always about the Jimmys and the Joes.
